Boneless frozen tilapia filet's safe to feed?

I feed my rays frozen tilapia fillet daily. no problems at all.

Freezing things doesnt kill bacteria, it simply slows their growth. If you dont let the food thaw for more than 20 minutes, then the bacteria present on the food will not have enough time to mulitply enough to become harmfull enough to kill the fish. Only cooking it to a high enough temperature will kill harmful bacteria.

Chances are, if you are purchasing tilapia that is meant for human consumption, then there is no bacteria or anything harmfull on it. The food industry has extremly vigourous standerds when it comes to meat and fish. If there is bacteria present on the fish, then it will be at a "acceptable" level, and have a very low bacteria count.

Buy fish that is meant for human consumption, keep it frozen and dont let it thaw longer than 20mins and you'll be good to go.

I buy a bag of frozen tilapia fillets and feed it to my pbass, aro, bichirs, rays and frontosas. Absolutly safe, although I would recommend you mix things up and not only feed tilapia.

i just purchased my first Bichir (senegal). The store fed them live shrimp and shrimp pellets. I notice you guys talking about feeding Tilapia. I have a freezer full of Tilapia that I eat myself. It's not a very expensive fish, so I can see your point. Please explain how you prepare it for your fish. I'm considering tryiing it. Is it messy and does it foul your tank?

Also, I have a couple of OSCARS and a PLECO and one Arowana, along with my new BICHIR. Will the others appreciate the TILAPIA, also?

fed my oscar tilapia a s well for years . the fillet are nice and clean just chop them to size.

Also forgot to add that there are fillets in individual packaging that are irradiated to kill off bacteria and such.
