Just stumbled upon this board and i was hoping to find some help here. I have two kilin parrots who have bred every month for the last 3 months. My female actually started laying 4 months ago. the first batch being sterile, there was no male for partnering. the second batch is what i have currently. the third was eaten while i went away on vacation on a friends watch :(. and the fourth ... that i also have currently. i am completely inexperienced at breeding but since shes having fun having babies im gonna try and do my best to keep them alive. ... My babies are starting to dye off one by one originally they were on daphnia and were doing great, i ran out and switched them to hikari micro pellets but it seemed they werent tollerating it well and started to dye off then i switched it to the brine shrimp ... i believe i might have bloated them and might have caused some to die that way. i cant find the daphnia anywhere to switch them back on. could this be the issue? i seem to have 1-2 fish die every day now. they are a little over 2 months now and i dont know how to care for them i cant find any good sources on the net. can anyone point me in a good direction to learn how to raise them! thanks

You may want to start a separate thread and maybe add some info like tank size, water parameters, filtration, wc schedule and a few pics would be great - you'll get all the help you need. In the meantime search these forums you'll find a ton of useful info. Sorry Im no help, Im a few steps behind you in the breeding process actually.

Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
So dummy me put clay pot in the tank for them to spawn in and dummy didn't think that the male is too much of a fat ass to swim upside down. So shes laying the eggs in the top and hes looking at her like "what am I supposed to do with that". So hes not fertilizing the eggs. *sigh*

Well, first thing that comes to my mind is, they are Flowerhorns and fh's start killing each other off at a very young age. I agree with Oscar that you should start a separate thread so you can get more responses. What are your water parameters anyways/temp?
