Could just be cheap acrylic , the acrylic I used is polycast. Which is quality

I followed fish tanks direct , they use 1/2” on this tank so I did the same

If that tank was deeper, we'd be having a serious conversation right now. I am in Jewett City and need a bigger tank than the 8 x 3 I have. 2 feet deep isn't enough though.

No, its 4 feet front to back, which I like..... but its only 2 feet top to bottom (depth). I have pacu, they are 18" tall.

Ah okay, with aquariums depth is front to back. That’s why I was confused. And can you post a pic of the pacu, 18” tall seems very large.
