This question may have been asked, but I can't remember...
Is that the maximum hight of the water?
Is that the maximum hight of the water?
As of now, yes. It's 3'-9" deep, but if I fill it to the top it's 4'-4" deep. I actually wanted space from the water line to the top of the glass for viewing the top area of the tank which will eventually have branches, vines etc. hanging above the water line, and to not stress the glass 100%. If I want to make it higher I can just modify the overflow so that it's another 6"-7" higher.TheFishGuy;973020; said:This question may have been asked, but I can't remember...

It's tough because there is a wall perpendicular to the tank that prevents you from standing far enough back to get a straight on shot. Plus, as you can tell, my camera BLOWS. My brother is a commercial light supplier, and he is supposed to be bringing me a custom designed CF hood that I designed. It's 102" long and holds 6 34" t-5 H.O. tube fluorescents. They're only rated at 5000K but I'm not going to be trying to grow any crazy plants, so I think it will be fine. I thought about putting one MH in the center but I'm not sure it's necessary.Zeppelin3k;973375; said:nice wizzin!!! got any front shots? also what kind of lights are you planning of hanging over it?

Anyway you are giving me motivation to get my plywood tank started, which will be near exact dimensions.
