high-five for pointless posts :)

The GE silicone stuff says it cures in 24 hours on the tube I think, but it takes a lot longer when you have massive thick beads of it.
I resealed a 75 with that stuff, my eyes were burning like crazy when I got done.
I let it sit for about a week before filling, but that's only because I didn't have a stand.

WOO HOO! pointless posts!!!

i used the GE silicone once... it dried pretty quick but i wasnt using huge amounts of it either

That's if it's exposed to air. When it's sandwiched between glass and not exposed to air it takes MUCH longer. A week is a good guideline to follow to be sure it's fully cured.

I would give it a weak or 2. I know that when I resealed a 10 gallon tank it cured in 3 hours and I gave it the full 24.
