Building a 1500 Gallon plywood & glass tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah a few more since you were over.. And they are similar to payara I think.. These are Cynopotomus.. Unfortunately one jumped out last week and by the time I got home and discovered him he was dead.. :(

Figures, there is only a 2-3" area where they could have jumped up and out from and he managed to find it.

Other than that they get along really well with everyone. Even the pikes are behaving. I am a bit surprised.

Looks like you added a few monsters :D Payara? How many do you have? How are the other fish doing with the new addition?

Love it!

Such an interesting mix. Never would've thought eartheaters would go unmolested in there.

What ever happened to my balas and catfish? They still around? (Please tell me the balas are giant sized now...)

Balas are still there (Growing slower than expected but still a good size) and unfortunately the 2 cats didn't make it.. a few months after getting them one died suddenly without warning then a few weeks later the other one went too.. :(

I have never had good luck with those silver tipped cats at all and will never try them again. I felt horrible that they didn't make it in my care. I had thought for sure since they were so large and healthy when you had them that I would have had better luck with them.

Will get more pictures this weekend.. :)

YAY! Can't wait! Any new additions to speak of? If my fiance and I end up getting the house that we want soon, I'll most likely be building something along these lines in the basement...
