I remembered watching this video on how to make fiberglass decorations and liked at how cool it was and it make me want to start making my own fiberglass decorations for my fish tank. What I plan to do is starting this week I plan on buying some fiberglass supplies at Home Depot to start work on building my flooded City model that will be based off of some scenes from Stephen Baxter's Book Flood and the Movie Waterworld.

This was the youtube video that made be get the idea to build my own model flood city now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFn69PmcmfA&list=TL7Vbrr-EJGgvoF3sgQVz1YKlqNANuRSPi

Right now I plan on building a 18 inch tall Brooklyn Bridge Pier out of fiberglass and two foot tall building front that will be a food deep and 14 inches long.

Could anyone help me who has worked with fiberglass before in what you would recommend.

I will try working with those two recommended materials for one of my buildings to give it a try in that they sound more convenient to work with. Right now I have bought a small container of fiberglass resin at Home Deput and currently working on a three tall model of the Brooklyn Bridge's bridge pier. As of now I built the bridge pier out of Styrofoam and I'm planning to coat with fiberglass later this week after I get a few more things lined up.
