5 to 6 hours away. Yes I have had groups over and no problems for the most part. However few individuals did cost me fish and money. If you build a big tank or have lots of tanks I suggest you only have a few people visit at any one time.

That is truly amazing. It must be a blast just watching how all of those fish interact.

If someone fell in your tank would some of the fish attack?

excuse me if it has been mentioned before, I'm a newbie to this forum in particular, but have you considered using UV filtration as a clarifier to help keep the water clear? possibly inline w/ the water pumps.

I have not considered UV. However another hobbyist mentioned an ionizer that I have been looking into.

I had some theft of tools and an antique stop watch. I had fish caught out of tanks and placed in other tanks in different rooms. I had a sudden tank death occur right after a visit. I had a person go into one of my bird aviaries to take closer pictures(without asking) and not close the door properly on leaving resulting in a bird lost.

99% of the people have been great hobbyists when visiting it was just a few people who caused problems over the years. I never had any problems when it was only a few friends visiting, only when large groups came and I really did not know everyone.

One of my friends lost

One of my friends lost a large 24' motoro stingray when he had a group over to see his tanks because someone had put some chocolate in the tank to feed the ray. The chocolate killed the ray

I think it's fine to have hobbyists visit, I just recommend smaller groups at any one time.
