I want to get 2 more cichlids, but I don't know if they are compatible with my yellow labs. I also think I have 2 electric blue cichlids, but I'm not sure what they are. I think 46 gallons is enough room for 6 african cichlids. We are going to try for more bumblebees tomorrow, so post quickly please!

also, I'd like to know what venting is. and please don't tell me to google it, becuase me and google got into a big fight of which computer is faster. :P

bumble bees are said to be agressive... i have one in tank with yellow lab 46 gallon bowfront but i have more than just 6 cichlids in there.. if u keep enough fish in the tank it should help to alleviate aggression... only get 1 bumblebee though if u get 2 males they'll prob fight untill one is no longer with you..... also when i got mine he was by far the smalllest cichlid in the tank.. about 1/2 the size of my red top zebra and he is now the biggest cichlid in the tank a short 6 months later....

and venting is when you take the cichlid out of the water turn em upsidedown and decipher the sex of the species by their vent...i dont do this so for info on how to go about it and what to look for hopefully someone else will expand on what i've stated

I'd keep an eye on it, as the bumblebees are much more aggressive, but could still try

bumblebees WILL outgrow a 46 gallon tank. they get large for mbuna.

okay, is there any other african? I wanted Red Zebra Cichlids, at least I think that's what they're called.

so what do you have in there already? two yellow labs and two "electric blues"? you may be able to add a red zebra and another fish-but imo red zebras are quite aggressive-so make sure you have lots of rockwork.

yellow labs are quite docile and can be bullied by more aggressive fish. you could maybe get away with ONE red zebra-but keep an eye on it , and if its bullying your labs take it back. i love saulosis, rusties, blueberry OB zebras- hongi's--i could go on and on.

i wouldnt go over 6 or so fish-and i wouldnt mix too much either. if i had a 46 gallon tank-keep in mind that is small for mbuna- i would have yellow labs, rusties and saulosis mixed.. 3 species. it would look pretty great and they would all get along well.
