Calling all TENECOR tank owner...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What are your policies on fixing or repairing a tank? What if it was bought used and I have no reciepts? Would you help me out?

X2 on that. My Tenecor tank was very nice at one time, there are allmost no bubbles on the seams. But I bought it used and the front and rear pannels are crazed and bowed the tank is 92 long x 36 tall x 24 front to back the front and rear pannels are 5/8'' thick.

Our warranty applies only to the original owner. That is simply an industry standard. Send pictures to the account and we will take a look.

Here is a pic of the front panel of my tank.

man, this is unacceptable...a reputable company should not manufacture tanks (using such thin acrylic panels) knowing bowing will occur to this degree (regardless if it holds).
what are the tank dimensions and what acrylic thickness did they use (I assume 1/2") ?

I agree....I wouldn't be able to sleep at night...

I have a 6 foot long by 44" top to bottom tank made out of 1" thick acrylic. (It's the 360 in my sig.) I've had that tank 5 years now and I bought it used, I bet it's 8 to 10 years old by now. No noticeable bowing and made by Tenecor. Maybe the above tank was requested by the customer to be built with ½” acrylic? Or ¾” Who knows? Look on Tenecor’s web site, they offer thicker than normal tanks for premium prices.
My point is thicker acrylic is an option so it seems the customer did not take that option. Can’t blame the manufacture for building the tank to the customers specs? It obviously holds water……

You are obviously missing the point.
