Probably a dumb question. I'm just more curious than anything. I have a 110g tank with a 12" pleco, and a 10-12" Black ghost knife. I seen a stingray at my lfs, and was intrigued by it. And thought that since my tank is done in sand that it could be a potential home for a ray.

tank dimentions are:

4' long
18" front to back
30" tall.

It is possible, but depending on the what kind of ray you get, the ray might eat it as it gets bigger.

Also your tank is too small for any type of ray, long term.

Also, keep in mind that knife fish emit electrical signals....and rays sense prey, etc. through electroreceptors of sorts. I'm not saying the ray would attack the knife, but it may be sensory overload for the ray.

I would worry about the Plec sucking on the ray aswell. I think more so then the knife?

I second that notion...Although I know of a few people who have kept them together, plecos and rays are a recipe for disaster eventually.

I overlooked the pleco in the tank....must've read the title and that was it, haha :). Good catch!

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know that plecos would suck on other fish. Guess you learn something new every day.
