Wolf fish feed on Piranha, in the amazon....
And vice versa, it just depends on a lot of factors, such as who strikes first, how hungry they are, and type of piranha.

All types of piranha aren't crazy preds. The kind I have isn't even aggresive...I think a wolf fish would tear it to pieces.

Yeah, it would be very easy for a wolf fish to kill a piranha. Piranha really aren't all that agressive when it all comes down to it. I use to have a bunch of chocolate cichlids that lived with my piranha and they would beat on it most the time and it was twice their size.

i think u guys are all talking about the pygocentrus species which is yes, very skittish even in a small group. But the Serra family... its a whole lot of different story.

This is true! Serras are crazy but they still are a pretty shy spieces. They tend to hide alot. BUT I think a 15" rhom vs. a 15" wolf fish would be a very ugly ending for the wolf...

piranhas hide because they are ambush predators and are hard wired that way. its true they arent crazy predators but are more or less opertunistic feeders, and are very good at it! but it is not fair to say that they arent aggresive, just in a different matter. they arent bullys like cichlids but eat very aggresively.
