Can anyone ID this lizard?

Yeah it’s definitely a gecko, I thought the same. I’m in North Carolina near the mountains. I knew I had never seen a gecko in my whole life here.
But a quick search came up with the same as you.
Turns out they are an invasive here. Never knew they could survive Our winters.
Definitely a Mediterranean house gecko, do you have a greenhouse or anywhere that sells plants nearby?? It’s pretty common that their eggs will get shipped across country or over seas on/in plants (happens a lot with anoles aswell) I see them all the time up here in Canada but there’s no way they are surviving our winters here haha

More than anything your house serves as a warm refuge. This is seen many places where the animals thrive in neighborhoods but are not found out in the woods.
