So he was under water peeing and it swam in? Wouldn't you feel it? does it swim in small and grow or it swims in that size?
 
Yep. Actually, the guy not only FELT it swimming in, but he tried to HOLD it and prevent it from entering his urinary tract. The candiru was that size before swimming in, but the mucus made it possible for it to get in. The fish stopped at the urinary esfincter, almost entering the scrotum. In fact, the candirus die soon after penetrating the urethra. Just like an accident, trying to find food in a gill chamber.
BTW, have you ever tried to hold a fish underwater? Think about candirus as slimy, fast swimming, powerful sticks. VERY difficult to hold, isn't it?

fun right? did you pee it out too Joel?? I was peeing blood. .. and was straining my pee every day. I finally struck gold and caught the stone. Its in a jar somewhere still. :D ...

Maybe we should try candirus next.

we should have a contest, not really a peeing contest, but a contest where you pee to see who's candiru can make it in the fastest. I think we could be on to a new sport here. Who's with me???

I passed a gall stone over my urinary tract 2 years ago.. it was pain like no other. We are talking head bashing in the wall to relieve the pain kind. I was peeing blood . Also read in some book that it is one of the most painful maladies in the book.

But this candiru would probably hurt twice than that of a kidney stone inside your urethra. Also , how they heck can you get that out.? I dont want to know.. :(
