Captive bred Elephantnose fish!

Live baby brine shrimp and start a daphnia culture. They would be perfect for young fish like this and most likely that was what they were raised on to get them to this size anyway.
I chopped some bloodworms finely, and mixed it with rotifers, and Garlic Guard and they seemed to eat that. On the downside I have at least 7 of the 18 are goners... adding in the two that died before I picked them up at the shop that's half dead. They are way too young to be shipping honestly. Some barely even have the "nose" yet... they are sensitive species as it is, at this age, Captive bred or not it's just too young. I'm really disappointed. I knew they'd be small but this small is just ridiculous. I never lost any when I had wild caught until several month later from parasites (I didn't treat them soon enough because I was worried how they'd react to wormers since they can be sensitive to medicines.)
It is amazing and frustrating how difficult it can be to acclimate some species isn't it? Rainbowfish are like that. It is the one aspect of the hobby that can be really frustrating. You think everything is golden and watch the species die off slowly. It is almost better if they all go at once, that would be less painful and frustrating. You have my sympathy.
Well I think they are basically all dead. I am so bummed because I spent all my Christmas money on the E-noses and on getting the plants and equipment to upgrade the tank for the E-nose. I can't really justify spending the money to get a new school til next Christmas when I have more gift money. I'm going to talk to my LFS guy and see if he can pressure the supplier to replace them for me (with older wild caught ones)... but I'm not holding my breath. This is one of the sucky things about this hobby.
