I have a 220 being set up and would like to stock it with Caribe.

Been watching, but as I understand it there is a Columbia export ban on them. Yet I see other Columbia exotic fish exports so not sure if it's an urban myth. I have heard that June is the usual season for Caribe shipments.

The ban is on all Piranha from that region. Caribe, mentos, denticulata, etc that come out of Colombia (often by way of VZ) are banned for export. this ban went into effect in late 2021. It is why I have not carried them since summer of 2021.

Basically, don't expect to see them anytime soon?!?

As wild caught, nope that a wrap on those. Well, at least not legally anyway. The reputable Colombian exporters will not do it and risk the fines and/or loss of exporting permits. No Venezuelan exporters exist so nada on VZ. There are plenty of 'pop up' exporters are around in South America that may still try to get away with it. Those are the ones that are open under one name for a bit , close, then reopen under another name. Those are also the same ones that will take your $ for the order and never send it. Ever. poof gone.
I know at least one European wholesale company that I exchange fish is working wild stock to breed some of those species so eventually we will maybe see some quality tank bred stock.
Occasionally I see caribe on exporter lists from Brazil. Likely by-catches from collections in the northwestern part of Brazil. It is usually just a few and not common to see.

If you could keep me in mind if you see them, I'd appreciate it. Also, I'd probably drive up to your location to pick them up.
