Stunning specimen, BlesOne!

Looks like Rio Hondo have more blues but I agree depends on lighting and gravel.
Looks like Rio Hondo..... less than 1 inch carpintis being sold at $40.00 rip off.

Awesome fish! Thanks for sharing. Does anyone see any substantial difference in not just the color but the size of the various locations?

Thank you! The only thing that sets Rio Hondos apart from most other catch locations is obviously the rich blue color and deep tall profile in my opinion. Markings vary in individual fish regardless of locations.

When you gents are comparing physical characteristics, are you comparing wild fish from known collection locations? Or are you comparing aquarium bred strains, with a generation or more removed from the wild?

Big difference in my books. If it's the latter then IMO all bets are off - too many variables added into the equation to compare what is basically line bred strains, to wild fish. Even among wild variants there can subtle differences in color, spots, stripes, etc., but once you add domestic breeding into the mix there is no point in discussing shades of blue, etc.
