Catching goldfish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah to hell with that.... 2 foot butterfly is worth SERIOUS money, catch QT treat for parasites and other ailments for like a month and sell that bad boy... just got yourself a several hundred dollar pay day FO FREEE

No, I have not called DCNR. I've only seen it once. If I manage to catch this thing, we'll go from there.

I will get some worms and corn together, and maybe a buddy or two and go looking for it again this weekend.

NCStateFisher - the only problem with that is where am I going to QT a fish that large? My largest tank is a 40B.

start diggin and find some cheap pond liner :P

Ha! I'm sure my landlord wouldn't be too thrilled with a temp. pond. LOL

I am going to dig around and see if I can find someone who really wants this thing before trying to catch it. That way, it can go right to them and they can deal with QT and all that fun stuff. I would much rather see it go in someone's nice big Koi pond and be admired, than to the pond I first mentioned.

We'll see.

FINALLY!!!! Someone who knows what I'm talking about. I felt like I wasn't getting through to anyone at all.

i'm not a koi expert, do koi eat worms? good luck and keep us updated

The inside of a koi/carp's mouth is completely smooth. They are not predators and don't require teeth. That's why people catch them with corn. You won't have much luck with worms. I've fished for them for years back home. I've caught the biggest ones you can imagine with a bluegill rod.
