Hey those 10" bull heads would make the perfect bait for any large flatheads in the area. Just take your pocket knife and cut the fins off a little.

But seriously the bull heads are great. If you find that they are too big for your tackle and swim you all over tje place. Then take your knife and cut the fins completly off and make a couple of stabs in the guts and throw them out and hold onto your rod.

Wiat until the flat head runs with it. Down jerk as soon as you fill a nibble. It takes them a few minutes to work the bait before they swallow.

I turn my drag off and free line flatheads when the first hit. They will take a long run thell stop eat your bait. When the start to run again you should have them. THe first run will be anywhere from 1-5 mins so dont set the hook untill its had it for a while

Try using a 2/0 octopus circle hook with a large (6+") minnow with a lighted night bobber with ball bearings inside it 3' above the hook; I have caught many catfish over 20" using this rig (my best was a 28", 12 pound channel).
