Centipede safe for feeding?

i feed my fish house centipedes when when i find them.....doesnt seem to bother them..

always see these centipedes around our home, they are like the thin ones and black in color, but don't bother to feed them to my fishes. they scare me. hahaha!

I think that what you are describing are millipedes and not centipedes. The centipeded have long legs and antenea. If these little black critters have extremely short legs and little if any antenae, I believe that you are dealing with millipedes.

I have attempted feeding these to my fish also but have never found a taker yet. I was shocked, but the same thing seems to hold true for daddy longlegs! I would have thought them a super treat, but have yet to see one of my fish nibble for a taste much less chomp on a daddy longleg!

yes they don't have antenea and are often found on moist ground here in the philippines, think they are venomous so i don't risk.

Centipedes are not poisonous, they are venomous AFAIK. As long as they do not deliver their venom into bloodstream, they cannot kill a fish. I highly doubt they could sting a fish underwater.

Then again, none of my fish showed any interest.

Ok my bad. But trust me, if your legs are bitten by a shark in the ocean, would you be desperate enough to bite it as a last resort?
