I believe they sell or adopt out as many fish as possible unless whoever donated it specifically asked that it remain there. Big Rich used to be active on here but I'm not sure if he still is.
No idea where Red Wing is but if it happens to be anywhere near Knoxville TN this looks to be a a male...

Kevin is going to be your best bet. A couple of other guys keep breeding stock of a few species and will have posts on IG and FB every so often. Chris Craig comes to mind and I’m a fan of his.
You can find some random odds and ends through Wetspot, Dan’s fish, aquabid, imperial tropicals, and a gentlemen out here in SoCal that keeps a breeding facility in his garage. He has Festae, Parachromis Multifasciatus, Andinoacara Stalsbergi, Carpintis, and other show stoppers but thing particularly rare.
I do miss COTA, and have done business with them many times. Unfortunately with them ****ting down their retail business, it makes it hard to get species like some of the rarer Vieja, Chuco, Astatheros, Darienheros, and rarer strains of common fish like the Usamacinta Salvini.

My 540 had a bulkhead start leaking, I didn’t have time/desire to fix it — so I just drained the tank.
now, I’ve got time to refill it …. and I can’t get CA Cichlids?
who’s can ship Trimac’s? Wish I’d kept the one I had a few years back.

Worth keeping an eye out on the FB pages for the guys listed above. I would add Cichlid Dojo and Cichlid Hut to the list. I think Cichlid Hit has Trimacs.
There is a vendor named Danbury Aquarium and Supplies posting adults singles and pairs of M. argentea on FB. I tried to post a link, but it just posted a link to FB. I've never purchased from this vendor so have no clue on their rep...
