Haha, I know, the lady was a kook, but for some reason I believed her. She talked fast and even showed me with her hands how her ray was swimming around in the tank, and then her hands came to a sudden stop as she explained how her ray hit the piece of gravel, and she made a fart noise and flipped her hands over.

I guess she thought that demonstrating how her ray died was firsthand proof of exactly what happened.

I figured it had to do with water changes. She had breeding molly's (even tatooed ones!) and brought in a water sample and the test strip turned purple. It was like she gave me just pure poop water. She said she can't clean the gravel because there are babies in there. I told her if she didn't there wouldn't be any fish left at all. She bought more fish anyway.

Also she had blue hair and a shirt with a pot leaf on it, which inadvertently explained the blue hair. But the nitrate strip would explain the death of the stingray.

Man did you see how I related that to the topic? Wow I went on a pretty rediculous tangent there and just some how brought it back.

my smell so bad. i think its because of my tank. im afraid to change 50% of my tank because someone told me that chloride will kill all my fish! what should i do?

First do this, vacuum the gravel with a gravel vacuum (directions on package). Then add the water back to the tank at the same temp and add a water dechlorinator (directions on package).
