Cheaper/DIY Alternative to "Loc-Line"? (PICS)

You could attach coat hanger wire to flexible tube, or spring for some 4 or 6 gauge aluminum wire so it wouldn't rust. Hot glue or superglue the wire to the hose and the wire will hold the shape you're looking for. I'd probably be even lower tech and silicone the wire, since i have tubes of silicone laying around. You could probably also use rescue tape (waterproof silicone tape) If you completely buried the coat hanger wire in silicone, it wouldn't rust.

Off topic, but you tank looks acrylic, Acrylic really should be supported across the whole bottom of the tank, and most manufactures recommend the pink insulation foam under them.

Not sure its much of a competitor for locline but I just heat my pvc to shape it.

No worries at all, comments are appreciated. :) I won't fill it until I get my ply and styro although I am only going 1/2" each for both. The tank was full when I bought it so I have no need to test fill on this stand.

Side note, I know 2"x6" is waaay overkill for a stand but the lumber was free from work so meh, I used it.

yes i use those duckbill returns i posted a pic of on all my tanks. they have a swivel base so they are easy to adjust up down or sideways and for the price its a good deal i think. thanks for the welcome i am usually stalking around on aquariacentral but here on occasion.

Now that's DIY lol! I hadn't thought of that but the hangers are a good idea! I do something similar for fake plants and am toying with it for DIY wood too. Thanks kallmond! I wish I would have posted this sooner I could have saved $90. :(
