What do you think these guys are? They were sold as monos and are now around 7". Do you think there colours are a bit washed out or is it just because they are young? I see so many cichla that are vibrant colours yet mine seem dull.

Cool, what do you think about their flushed out colours? Normal for a juvi or will they always be washed out?

depends, my old hybrids had no color at all. I sold them lol. What are these guys eating. Pellets obviously get the most color. Other than that its a waiting game. Ive seen some REALLY NICE hybrids on here.

Hikari cichlid gold and prawns. Only prawns of late because that's the only thing they have taken a fancy to so I stuff the prawns full of pellets.

I guess just be patient or try to sell them and order some from the vendors on here. Good quality fish around here I love this forum!!

Your picture is really dark. Impossible to see what colors they have. Also lighting can play a role in seeing the proper colors. May be you should post better pictures to give us a better idea about the colors.
