Good Morning Everyone,
Just wanted to share my input on how things are going. Anyone that has bred or breeds cichla knows for a fact cichla fry are super delicate. I knew before getting into this that it was going to be trial and error followed by a lot of learning experiences. One thing is for sure not everyone's tanks and water perimeters are the same and breedings are different and require different things. My pairs don't do well together hours after the eggs are laid. Hence why i am building the fry rack which will be running tomorrow. Through all of this i gained a higher respect for cichla. The fry i do have left are thriving. i found my niche on caring and getting them to survive. i feed them every 2 hours and siphon out left over food and poop etc every 4 hours. Replacing fresh water each time. At the end of the day my love for cichla got even stronger. I am blessed to own my own business that allows me to stay home and be able to enjoy this hobby.
