Your tanks are definitely big enough for even the largest bichirs buddy get you some!
i have also kept a bichir in the past, however it jumped out. It was still alive when i put it back in however my pacu decided it would be nice to rip off its face. I might get another one in the future, but for now i have a albino senegal bichir
