"Colombian Pike"

I gotta another look at it.

It didn't have the black strip across it's body like the belly crawler. I noticed a black caudal spot with a yellow aura and reddish tips on the dorsal fin.

From looking around the site I'm guessing it to be a C. Sveni.

Traditional markings for a sveni? and is $20 a good price for a approximately a 3-4 in.

Thats exactly what mine looks like and I've just been told that mines a Sveni....it's on the post before this one, but it's a bit pale due to a water change

Kurt i saw your pics in your gallery and pretty sure the one at the LFS is a Sveni.

What size do they get?

Apparently they get 8-10 inches.....mines about 5 inches at present and loves to go for everything,lol

yea that's it. The one at the pet store was hiding the whole time i was there. Only came out when it was time to eat. Probably scared in the tank though because he was the smallest fish in there.

Mine got ID'd as a Sveni from this pic....

But it looks different on this pic.....

I didn't think it was a Sveni due to the spot on its tail as all the Sveni's on Google don't have that?!

Yea idk about the one on that link. Maybe that's what they look like when they mature. Experts neeeded. haha

You pike keepers...how do your pikes do with somewhat smaller fish? I've been considering bringing the belly crawler in the pic home but I have some plecos I'm concerned about becoming a chew toy. I doubt it could actually eat them, but do they try to "maul" other fish at all? Haha..I know...odd question.

The lfs here that carries colombian pikes has sveni and a lone venezuelan.
