I had a pet cow when I was a kid. It was a HUGE bull with a massive forehead that had curly hair. We named it Shaq. It was one of the friendliest animals I've seen It would even let you sit on it's back.
Obvouisly my fish are big becouse i can take care of them you silly goose.
My mom used to always tell me this story of she had of a sailboat she had and a cat named taco that lived on the boat. Altho the cat never got eaten in emergency im sure he would have been a consideration.
The truth of the matter is if something ever really nasty happened to us like a nuke or such and our infrastructure is completely crippled after a few weeks you might end up drinking the water out of your water heaters tank and then the water outta ya freshwater tank and having one last tasty meal of your pet. At that point tho it would probly be kill it and grill it, no fancey recipe's
I thought if you use stress coat or other meds it was dangerous to eat your fish-I guess it is a personal choice-personal I eat fish just not the ones I have owned-think about it first you got to catch it and then cut it's head off-just couldn't get myself to do that.
Like I said don't you guys use meds-on the label it is highly suggested not to eat your pet fish cause of danger of getting sick. I don't know to each his own but it kind of seems a little sick to talk about eating a fish on a site dedicated to keeping fish as pets-it would be like me going on a vegetarian site and talking about that double whopper I ate last night.
no offense, but I don't think you can enjoy your pet...or even call it a pet...if it's days are numbered. i wouldn't want to get attached to it.
maybe for some, but it's just not for me.
