Corn Snake, California Kingsnake, or Ball Python?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Get a thayeri or ruthven king female . They stay small 2 to 3 ft max . The thayeris come in countless colors and very tame snakes.

Others here love corns which are great but if you rather stick with 2 to 3 ft range than thayeri or ruthven are great plus as tame as easy as corns. .

Hi,very nice, I also prefer them!

Yes I find them underrated kings that are rarely even mentioned . Thayeri and Ruthvens you wont regret.

I have 7 or 8 yr old albino ruthven which prefers to climb even as a 6 inch baby he would stay ontop of branches .

I just bred him .

What exact types do you keep?

I went through the same process as you, picking out a begginer snake.

I decided on a ball python, I'm getting it tommorow.

IMO ball pythons are the coolest, I've done alot of research and to me, they are just the best. A bit harder to care for, a bit larger, and a bit more money, but I really like 'em. Go for the snake you like the most, not what's easiest.

I like them also .

Thanks guys for the input, but unfortunately, we have no space in my house (or at least, my parents don't wanna make any space) for any kind of animal. So, no snake for me. =/ Thanks anyway.

Well one day when you have your own place you get what you want. I couldn't have any reptiles when I lived at home .
