Today i ran out of cement after the first coat! so i bought two more cases for a total of over 17pounds of cement! i was able to apply 3 thick coats in total for what should make a bullet proof background.
All i have to do now is wait 7 days for it to reach its maximum hardness, then i will sand it down to make it look more natural. then i can apply the epoxy resin, let that sit for 3 days and then put it in the tank with out fish for a week with daily 100% water changes. so if all goes well, i will have it in the tank with fish in around 3 weeks!
heres a couple pics of it when it was wet, it will be a lighter colour when dry. im thinkin of painting it befor i add the resin, but will have to look into that further.....

Just a quik update, the cement is drying nicely. Very hard. I have taken a quik pic of it to show what it will look like in the tank.

I have decieded that i will sand it in 2 more days, paint it the following day, and then epoxy it 2-3 days after that....
