Keep some aquarium salt in the tank if your not already using some. You don't necessarily have too use recommend dose but some will help. It helps repairing fins. I have arapaima with its tail bit of a lot and I keep salt in the tank. I don't know yet but it looks like it going to grow back and it was too the meat. Anyways. Catfish will be fine.
