THE PERFECT SUBSTRATE FOR POLYPTERUS: 16-24 GRADE MOHAWK CRUSHED GARNET ​
Why is this the best substrate for polypterus:
1) You don't waste time mixing CGS (Crushed Garnet Sand) and BSS (Black Silica Sand) trying to get the best blend for your polys.
2) Washing is very easy, comes clean after two rinses.
3) Super Heavy, will not get picked up by filter, when disturbed.
4) No sharp edges like Tahitain moon sand (Crushed Obsidian) or Black Beauty (Coal Slag) that will shred you Poly's gills and stomach if ingested.

BUMP-Just to let everyone know the Im selling this sand at cost, well less than cost if you add in gas to go get it. THIS IS A NON-PROFIT SALE I saw lots of post trying to obtain some garnet sand and i deceided to buy enough to supply to my fellow MFKers.

give me your dimensions and how thick you want the sand? those are the determining factors shipping is around $15 per box but that is not quote just an estimate.
