Dat feeding Question!!!

Hey guys, any input would be appreciated.

I'm new to dats all together,.............. I've seen on here the different kinds of food they feed their dats. My question is,.......... why is feeders not recommended for dats' diets??

Probably a dumb question but again, I'm new at this. Thanks in advance!
 
Feeders dont have the proper nutrition that the datnoides need. And most of the time feeders usally have diseases that can spread to the dats and your other fish and possible kill them. There is a huge article on here that tells about goldfish being mass bred in bad water and fish dieing because they dont have enough of nutritional value. Most of the time you try to get dats on to frozen foods ASAP. If you wait till there older most of the time they will refuse to switch to frozen foods. Cant teach a old dog new tricks.
 
Get one sick feeder, your fish eats the sick feeder, then your fish has a high chance of becoming sick too!

And all the nutritional stuff dats need isnt in just feeders.

Im sure in the wild they dont only eat fish, They are not only piscivores. Im sure they would eat bugs, and worms and other insects that they can see. But they will eat fish for sure. Also they wont be eating 1 species of fish day in and day out.
 
Gold fish that you see in stores are extremely inbred and have little to none nutritional value what so ever. Goldfish in the wild are very different than the ones you see in pet stores.
 
not only is it a risk you take feeding feeders, but also once they hit a certain size your going to be stuck trying to get him off feeders for a while. they get hooked on feeders and its a pain in the butt stressing about an expensive fish not eating what you want him to eat.
