I can only assume that if they were indeed captive bred, that they came from BioAquatix, also located in FL. I mention captive bred, and that particular vendor in this past thread.

The reality is that 99.9% of the clown loaches in this hobby, are collected in the wild. Captive bred specimens are the result of hormone inducing, so I would think that how strong, or weak the fry are would be the direct result of those using the hormones, and raising the eggs/larvae/fry to sellable sizes.
