Got some additions. Another Delhezi, little smaller then the others, little bigger than the Senegal. A nice middle ground to help disperse aggression or calm them down. Actually saw the new guy and the mean one chilling side by side a couple hours ago. Also, I don’t think he was just washed out, he was really REALLY light when the lights turned off. Good banding. Well, better then any I’ve seen so far, and almost black and white. We’ll see in the morning if he turned tan, or if he keeps his current pale coloration. I would love a zebra Delhezi.
Also got some more Anubias nana and two big clumps of crypt parv. and two larger (not full grown but definitely too big to eat) Congo tetras.
I’ll definitely try to get some good pictures tomorrow when the lights come on.
I walked in to my lfs (Fishy Business in Columbia SC, Bobs Tropical Fish in Augusta Georgia is closer by an hour but I’m boycotting them on account of them selling two red tail cats, a tiger shovel nose, a common pleco, a green terror, and a pacu to my little 17 year old cousin who has a 30 gallon tank, I’m at a lose for words...he says he’ll build a bigger tank [like king of diy’s in door pond, I think his heart is in the right place, but he really shouldn’t have gotten red tails, too many uneducated people see that and think they can do it too] anyway I digress)...walked into Fishy Business and saw a juvenile Laprderi...I know I’ve misspelled it but I don’t want to tab out and check the spelling. I make enough typos anyway.
He was about 8 inches long and still had external gills. An employee is moving and he put it up for sale. GOD I WANTED HIM. But I know better. He would have eatten the dels like spaghetti and then out grown my tank quickly. Maybe one day if I can get a floor to support a larger tank I’ll set up something like a 500.
Also, this is off topic. But out of curiosity what size would you all recommend for a silver arowana?
Don’t worry, I’m not even thinking about considering dreaming about buying one in the next 5 years.
But last year I thought pressurized co2 was going too far.
So who knows.
Maybe I’ll set one up next year.
