This is an awesome setup, and those are such handsome animals that you have in there.

I haven't kept any of these fish, but it seems like you must have put a lot of planning and careful observation into getting a compatible mix of species(?).

Happy new years!!! it's been a good year, and no better time to be into cichla with all these nice species floating around. here's a massive update of my little collection. these guys are really getting beastly. the tem, big orino, and ocellaris are well over 18" now and still growing.

pretty soon the 400g will need to go to make room for the 700-900g i have planned in a few years i took about a thousand pics during the last few weeks and kept only the good ones. you'll see some differences in the color of the water due to tannins from the leaves.

all pics were taken with my little Nikon D40 using the standard kit lens; 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. no fancy lens or wireless flashes used, still too poor to buy those

alright enough of that, let's start with an updated feeding video:

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8UnwprvP2fs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8UnwprvP2fs&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

and now onto the pics. any questions just lemme know
