Discus Are Not Swimming As A Group =/

You could go with 8 or 9 discus total for life in a 90 gal. safely. You could even go more if you did daily or every other day water changes, though I hesitate giving advice that people overstock their tanks. Not everyone is as anal about water changes as I am. I have 27 adults in a 240 gal., 15 in a 125 gal., 18 juvies in another 125gal., and so on. If you overstock and miss water changes, your fish will suffer.

oh yes, i do 2 wc every week... i was thinking of ordering online maybe... or from a breeder... do you have any recommendations other than the major ones, like Rocky Mountain, Kenny's, Macs, etc...

www.carolinadiscus.com Eric is a friend and hobbyist breeder who sells fish on the side from time to time. He rarely updates his website, but he often has quality fish for sale of all sizes, including mated pairs.

if u got loot try sunrise tropicals. they have exotic import ones from asia

It always seemed that when I had less than 5 or 6 discus in my 120, they all hid. Then when I added another half dozen or so they would all come out and color up, start spawning and just generally started looking a lot better. Even there appetites seemed to increase.

since when i first made this thread, i sold my 2 blue diamonds and 1 snow white, n bought a pair of pigeon blood... checkerboard i think... the one on my avatar is the male, and female sorta looks the same...
but now, they follow each other, but since my pair has started to spawn already, i'm seperating them soon in a breeder tank... n putting my 2 incoming leopard snakeskins there in my tank...
