Nice set up..

How long have you had it going with this stock? Does the loach bother the discus at all? I have a similar setup in a 75 minus the clown loach. Somehow, I got some pest snails lately even though I have no plants.. I 've had some success reducing the numbers by reducing the amount of food, but still have some.. Was thinking of a small group of young loaches to help eradicate the snails then rehome.. Though not sure I want to disrupt the peace..

great looking tank and something I am planniing on doing. Your discus look really healhy

Only thing I would change is a backing colour to the tank
Thanks I try to do many water changes for them. And have them on a varied diet they eat really well. I considered black background but it darkens the color on discus and they won’t pop. 3D background would be great though in the near future.

Thank you. The clown loach keeps to himself really. I had a school of them and he was the only one that survived for me. I have ton of snails I added plants and they were on the new plants unfortunately. Loaches should be fine lots of people keep clowns with discus. This set up has been running for like 6-8 months I believe. But I recently re scaped it.

Right on! Hopefully they help with the snail problem. I think clowns are not the best for snails. Maybe yo yo loaches. What kind of discus do you keep? Some of mine are stunted sadly bc of the source they came from but the biggest is pushing 5-6”

Yeah I thought about Yo Yos, but thought they may be harder to catch when I plan to rehome.. Found out these clowns are pretty fast too.. We'll see how it goes when I add them..

I have Blue Diamond Stendker Discus.. I have 6 & 1/2 (runt 🙂 ). All from a quality source and look awesome, but one just didn't grow with the others.. I wanted wilds but wasn't sure i was ready w/ this being my first time keeping Discus.. Love the Blue Diamonds, but will definitely set up another tank w/wilds some day..

Sorry no pictures for this update but can snap some today after my water change.
2 Big males rotate females and all females lay eggs. None hatch of course which I don’t mind at all. Plants have all grown out and done several trims ans

Tank has 7 jumbo discus
2 Bristlenose plecos
8 Sterbai Cory’s
1 lonely Rummynose lol 😅

So I loved the rummynose tetras but I think they got picked off slowly. My question here is what nice schooling fish can I add to my tank that won’t be eaten?!! Also my male Bristlenose is no where to be found. The female is always on active duty but haven’t seen him in a few weeks. Possible he’s taking care of babies somewhere in the driftwood? Hope he’s not dead.
