Funny story on the lights!
I purchased the light from someone and had to have it shipped from Queensland to Victoria. I waited a week or so and it never turned up(I was having it delivered to my work place address). I contacted the sender and she confirmed it had been sent and that I should have it by now - she followed it up with the freight company who could trace it 2/3's of the way but then could not confirm that it ever arrived in Melbourne. They said it probably got left at a depot along the way and they were going to chase it up. Well a month went by and they still could not find it or confirm what had happened to it so I got the sender to request an insurance claim on it. In the end after a lot of mucking around I got my money back that I paid for the light.
A couple of months went by and we having a BBQ at work and I just happened to wander through the receipts and dispatch area and saw what looked like the light I had purchased that never turned up, just sitting on a shelf with a bunch of other misc crap!
I checked it out a bit closer and sure enough that was it! After speaking with the receipts and dispatch workers, apparently the light had originally turned up when it was supposed to but the sender had put the wrong persons name on the package! When they receipted it they couldnt work out who it was for or why it was here so they just put it aside!
So in the end I got the light basically for free, albeit a few months late, due to the freight companies inability to track the parcel accurately. Having said, that now I dont really like it and and am planning on replacing it soon
The tank is complete as in functional but I never got around to completely finishing it off aesthetically like I had wanted, it just needs some kind of hood or border for the top of the tank. The Murray Cod is now over 2ft long and I have scrapped the idea of having planted tank - the MC has his own idea on how the tank should be aquascaped and that tends to change on a daily basis! He bulldozes the sand and drift wood around to suit, creating hollows and nests! The plants all got uprooted and destroyed a while ago!
He is actually getting too big for that tank and I'm thinking about how to house him next - it will have to be something pretty decent and at least 4' high and 5' deep I think!
