Ummm, I think the tank and everything with it took probably a week. Its much easier building the stand first, so that you have a table to work on , and you don't have to lift that beast and walk with it.

How much does an 8 x 4 sheet of 3/4 " acrylic cost? What is the best website to get it from?

Sorry, havn't been on that much. We have built so far 3 tanks, 3 wet dry filters ( for a fish store ). And are in the process of building 2 more tanks for me and my breeding projects.

I can try and get pics of everything tomorrow.

Is there any problem with bonding black acrylic to clear? If I go with acrylic I would like the bottom and sides to be black with a clear front. Adhesion qualtities, strength etc., the same? I like the look and it seems it would save money as well. Also I wasn't clear--did you use acrylic glue, or the two part polymer process that welds the pieces together. I just read the thread about the 450 gallon tank that blew apart and I want to avoid similar problems. Thanks!
