And here is a video of the mixing chamber and pump injection system in operation. I had the camera sideways without thinking about it :screwy: Anyway, you get the idea...

And here is the video of the whole system. It traces through the system starting with the air pump and ending at the tank.

Thanks for the complement. I some how missed it till now. This system can be assembled for well under $100. I was just thumbing through a catalog the other day and they were selling in the ball park of $700 :screwy: There was a unit for six grand :WHOA:

Anyway, bump for nfored.

On my test tank, the nitrates were at 80 ppm. The water was also yellow from high levels of dissolved organics. 24 hours later the water was clear and the nitrates were at zero.

I moved the system to the tank in the video which also had yellowish water but I neglected to pre-test the nitrates. The following day the water was also clear and had zero nitrates. My guess is that the nitrates were in the ball park of 40ish.

Maybe I am just slow, but I can't figure out the carbon chamber, from the pictures. Can you tell me how the carbon chamber connects to the mixing chamber? I also am having a problem understanding the loops. I see there is two loops, I think the intake comes into the first loop and then the second loop connects to the mixing chamber. Do you have a picture of the whole setup? Also does the air line connected to the pump connect to the ozone generator?

The carbon chamber is a length of 2" pipe. It has a Tee and a 90 at the top to hook over the edge of the tank. At the bottom is a series of addapters and a threaded hose barb.

The connection at the bottom of the chamber to the mixing chamber is in this picture.

And here is an additional picture of the top of the mixing/contact chamber. It is 30 feet of 1/2 inch pipe plumbed into a series of loops.
