sculpey primo or sculpey 111, Hobby lobby, or online.Hobby Lobby has it 30% off about 3 times a year.
The sculpey can be thinned with mineral oil, to a peanut butter consistency. Then smeared on as a base coat.
It can also be cooked underwater in a pressure cooker, the water keeps the PVC shape, without an tin foil armature.
I have a vertical PVC return tube I need to turn into a stick, but just working too much since January.
Oven cooked sculpey, faux coral. Mfk thead.
Sculpey comes in several grades, the 12 color pack from wallmart is cheap, but bonds well to PVC, it breaks easily if thinner than 1/4" on stand alone objects.
The sculpey 111, and primo can get very stiff if it is old stock. A meat grinder worked wonders on my supply.
