I am very impressed. I now have an excelllant template to go off of if I want to make my own sump filter. You Aussies always amaze me. I live in California and have come across a couple of Aussies transplants. They are a pleasure to be around, good sense of humor and outlook on everything that come their way.

I just want to say thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Looks great! I was just reading up on Fluidised Bed Filters and they sound awesome ... a nice addition to any filtration system to remove the last of the nitrates, nitrites and ammonia.

they are a great bit of kit yes, but they dont do anything to nitrates. if anything they create more nitrates because they are so efficient at turning ammonia and nitrite into it.
