I'm thinking about doing something similar to this but with a 20g with the bottom pane taken out. I just need a few suggestions on best materials to use for the ramp and how about to put it all together.

Thanks in advance

Sorry forgot to say I got that pic off the internet. But I do plan on making it very similar only with a larger basking area on top. I just need to make the ramp leading up to the basking area.

The pic I posted above is from a google search and in order to read it's contents I have to join that forum:WHOA:

You can try a ramp out of cork ( I don't know whether it is easy to find it stateside ) or of eggcrate ( although latter does not look natural ), or a piece of plexy with snad and small stones glued to it wit silicone ) Main thing is they get a good hold on the climbing...

I used a ramp made from Slate, i gringed it to a slope and smoothed it off.
I had it supported on 4 posts i constructed. But i think u could use the same principle and sit it on the tank top!
Sorry no pics it was over 10yrs ago when i kept them.
Hope this will help you! J :D
