i just got some P guttus catfish in, and the get along great until there is anything the tank that they can stake out as territoriy, well then they fight, and some of mine are banged up, but parts of there whiskers r biten off i was wondering they grow back or not.

It'll grow back, but depending on the severity...it might grow back and an angle.

grow back before you know it. grows by the day

Don't worry, it will grow back. I had a marble cat with a broken barble and it grew back in no time. You couldn't even tell it was ever broken.

As you can probably see in a post on this page my marbled pim got beaten up by a sev and acara and they ripped some of his whiskers off. Not the whole thing but the ends and they are already almost grown back. It was just a few days ago. Maybe last wednesday.

All responses correct. It might (The whisker) even grow back forked. But it will grow back.:cool-1:

Anybody know about forked whiskers? I saw a baby redtail yesterday and he had 2 forked whiskers? will they ever grow normal? He was 3-4", is this common?

He probably got injured at an early age. So they in turn grew backed forked. Its very rare at all. Happened to one of my angels.
