does any one have American paddlefish

I don't think so man. The places that breed paddlefish DO have fish that just don't grow as large as others. There have been cases where in the same environment, paddlefish have grown to only 10"ish while their ciblings born at the same time have reached 2-3 feet.

This is a fish that has dwarfism. Now, to what true extent, I don't think anyone knows the answer to that. Most of these runts are culled, and none grow to their full potential.

It would be interesting to grow some of the runts out in a kiddie pool. Maybe they only reach a 15" max size, and maybe they get to a 4 foot long max size (as opposed to the 8+ foot max size of a normal paddlefish). Nobody really knows at this point, and I don't think many people have the 30+ years to find out.

But as was stated in that article, that guy had them for 4 years, and none got over about 10". And it seems like he fed them well, and had good water quality.
