You shouldnt have to, since the sitting water in the line will already be heated to whatever your heater is set at. What Im saying is, mines set for 78, it only heats if the water is less than that thats going through it, so if the waters not moving itll heat whats in the line to 78 then shut off.
Does hydor inline heater need to be perfectly 90 degrees vertical?
