Bought 4 Dovii juveniles . Trimmed them down to the two I was pretty sure were one male and one female . Female just laid eggs on the flat rock while I was watching them . They are both around 4-5"

He swam behind her over the rock so I think that he did but not sure . Kinda young I would think
You would be surprised at how small fish can start breeding. My Amphilophus saggitae were 4.5in male and 3in female at thier first try.
I once bought two young jaguars, less than 4", and while getting a larger tank ready I put them in a 5 gallon tank for holding. Within a couple of days they spawned! I believe the eggs had been fertilized, but I removed them. Didn't have room to deal with hundreds of fry!
