I agree it's a cool looking crossbreed but I very, very much doubt that fish has any dovii in it. Obviosly it has some Parachromis in it (Parachromis blotch/marking on the top of the gill plate as well as a few other traits) and looks to have some trimac characteristics (probably from flowerhorn). I think red tiger motaguense is the most likely parent though who knows for sure. Both jaguar and dovii sport a black spot/blotch at the base of their pectorial fin .....only these 2 species exhibit this trait in the Parachromis genus. The fact that this fish doesn't is yet further evidence that neither of these parachromis species (jag or dovii) are likely the parent involved. My dovii X festae has the spot on the base of the pectorial fin and so does the known cross of jag X festae (manaconda) though I supose there is always some chance that a cross with jag or dovii would take on the characteristic of the other parent in this regard.
To be certain of what the cross is, generally you have to know who the parents are. Lots of speculation, but unless you have the crossed the fishes yourself, it's often very difficult to be certain what it really is the product of.
It would be nice to see more pictures of known dovii crosses. The only other crosses I have seen pictures of, besides my own fish, are young dovii X jag and young dovii X other Parachromis species. Not as keen on these types of crosses, as they are already very similar fishes, but would also like to see the pics of mature specimens.
