I read somewhere that Chanchitos have great personalities. Is that something anyone has noticed or is it my imagination.

These are captive bred, no one has been able to find the collection site again. Hell, we don't even know if it's found in Brazil, Argentina, or Uruguay (though I doubt Uruguay, or Felipe would have found them there by now I'd imagine).

thats a shame. they need to work on the captive breeding process, i would imagine brazil as just an educated guess but they could be argentinian, and yea the uruguayan fish are better documented.

They are not from Uruguay.....

The ones I have are very similar,minus the red on the tail.Very pretty fish.These also are 2 years old and stayed about 4"
